Operation UNITE
Mission Statement
Operation UNITE (Unlawful Narcotics Investigations,
Treatment and Education) works to rid communities of illegal drug use through undercover narcotics investigations, coordinates treatment for substance abusers, provides support to families and friends of substance abusers, and educates the public about the dangers of using drugs. UNITE's goal is to educate and activate individuals, by developing and empowering community coalitions, to no longer accept or tolerate the drug culture.
- Operation UNITE was created in April 2003 by U.S. Congressman Harold "Hal" Rogers.
- Community coalitions are central to implementing UNITE initiatives. Each county has at least one active coalition (please click on your county for contact information). Coalitions provide Court Watch, community and school education programs, faith-based initiatives, after-care and family support, anti-drug youth activities, Neighbors UNITED (an expanded Neighborhood Watch), and medical advisory (in conjunction with the Drug Endangered Child Network).
