Drug Endangered Children Guidelines

The We Care Plan provides specific guidelines for counties in responding to the needs of drug-endangered children.  The Plan was developed by the Governor’s Methamphetamine Coordinating Committee’s Drug Endangered Children’s Subcommittee, which was charged with examining existing national and local DEC programs, research pertinent legal issues, and identify best practices that address the children’s needs.  The We Care Plan is intended to facilitate the development of new DEC programs and complement existing ones (To read the plan, go to http://www.doh.wa.gov/ehp/ts/CDL/we-care.pdf).
