Youth
Youth can be great assets in the fight against meth. They can uniquely and effectively influence their peers, their siblings, and their schools. With the help of teachers, principals, and school board members, students can educate and activate a new generation to oppose the use of meth and other illicit drugs. In Pierce County, youth have organized Teens Empowered Against Meth (TEAM) as part of the Pierce County Meth Action Team. In Snohomish County, 900 students have come together for the past three years for teen summits. In Lewis County, youth have formed the Lewis County youth Prevention Team, which has convened youth summits on meth during the past three years.
