Date Held: May 1 - 4, 2012

Location: Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Arizona

Final Program

Strategic Applications International’s (SAI) Tribal Meth Summit is bringing together the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office of Community Oriented Policing (COPS Office) 2010 and 2011 Tribal Meth Grantees for a four day training and strategy-planning event.  The event will help to build the knowledge, skills and leadership of grantees and their community partners, in addressing methamphetamine prevention, treatment, enforcement and child protection through a community oriented policing approach. A Community-Based Participatory Research CBPR) pre-conference workshop is also being offered on Monday, April 30.  More information about the benefits of CBPR for law enforcement will be described during our April 5th webinar.

The Tribal Meth Summit is designed to highlight model practices from tribal communities, discuss the adoption of national strategies when culturally appropriate, leverage indigenous knowledge for creative problem solving across nations and across agencies.

Although all tribal communities are welcome, priority will be given to COPS 2010 and 2011 Tribal Meth Grantees and their designated community partners.
