Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) supports
the Community Oriented Policing SARA (Scanning,
Analysis, Response, Assessment) model.  CBPR addresses
issues and solves problems where traditional research
methods fail because it works in true partnership with
communities, taking into account specific social realities that
are often the root cause of the issues.  For Law Enforcement,
CBPR is an effective tool for identifying and implementing
interventions where the community becomes a partner in
the policing effort.  This webinar will provide a brief introduction
into what CBPR is, and focus on how this tool can support law
enforcement.
