One strategy aimed at reducing the supply of methamphetamine is the enactment of laws and policies restricting the availability of chemicals used in the manufacturing process. In response to these efforts, producers of meth have often changed the process; thus, several methods of making methamphetamine exist including methods used by large labs with extensive production capabilities and simple shake-and-bake or 1-pot methods used by individuals to make meth in 2-liter bottles. Our presenter, Dwain Worley, will provide information on different methods of producing methamphetamine and the risks associated with each, trends in meth manufacturing, and implications and special challenges associated with different methamphetamine production methods facing law enforcement.
