Web Site Offers Information On Meth Dangers
Saturday, November 15, 2008
The Plain Dealer (OH)
A new Summit County Web site is up and running in an attempt to provide residents with resources about the dangerous drug methamphetamine.
The Summit County Meth Awareness site, http://www.co.summit.oh.us/SCMA.htm , provides general resources about methamphetamine as well as links to affected property searches and other helpful tools. The Web site can also be found on a link labeled "Summit County Meth Awareness" on the county's main Web page, www.co.summit.oh.us , under "Other Links."
The Web site grew out of a recommendation set earlier this year from the Summit County Methamphetamine Property Awareness Task Force, which was created in march through legislation sponsored by Summit County Councilman at large Jon Poda. The task force includes Poda as well as county law enforcement and health officials.
