Starting a dialogue among teens, their parents and their schools about drug use is the goal of several substance abuse prevention workshops in Fort Morgan and Brush next week.
The presentations are open to all students above fifth grade, including high schoolers, and all parents in Morgan County, said Fort Morgan Middle School Principal Ben Bauman.
ìWe want every available parent to come,î Bauman said. ìNot just those whose kids do drugs, or those who donít.î
The workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the FMMS auditorium. The Brush presentation will be Monday, Dec. 15, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Brush High School.
