Methamphetamine Abuse in Florida
DEA Assessment:
Methamphetamine has impacted the majority of Florida’s 67 counties and use is widespread. (1)
Drug Offenses:
In 2006 there were 154 meth-related arrests; 8.1% of all Drug Related arrests in FL. (1)
There was 35.4 kg of methamphetamine seized in 2010. (2)
Lab Incidents:
There were 316 lab incidents in 2010. (3)
There were 85 children endangered by meth labs in 2010. (4)
Treatment Admissions for Methamphetamine Abuse: (5)
1,317 treatment admissions for methamphetamine/amphetamine abuse in 2009;
1.7% of all drug abuse treatment admissions.
