Legislative and policy approaches offer one strategy for creating deterrence and preventing the use, manufacture, and distribution of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine. Two presenters will discuss key federal legislation including The Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005, national trends in the development of model state drug laws, and state-level legislative efforts to address methamphetamine and related problems.
